Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines is a Florida native, born September 21, 1965, in Miami Beach to Rosemary (Graham) her parents James Hines and Rosemary (Graham). The family lived in Tallahassee. She attended West Virginia University, Florida State University and later graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida. Then, when she relocated to Los Angeles to the Groundlings Theater where she studied comedy where she really felt that she had learned about comedy. Lisa Kudrow, her first teacher at the Groundlings Theatre was an outstanding teacher. The actress began learning to improvise, and then sketch comical sketches. This helped her prepare to play the character of David's wife on HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). The dialogue in the comedy is made up, which means she feels right at home.
