
Jazmine Sullivan is a native of in and lived from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam her mother is an ex-backup singer at Philadelphia International Records. When she was 5 years old, her father got job as curator of City's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the mansion's historical site. In 2005, a Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts student and a major in vocal music. Sullivan started singing in children's choir as a contralto before joining the adult chorus a couple of years further on. Sullivan wasn't exposed to secular music initially. "I started singing as a soloist in church, and somebody asked me to commit to a gospel record at the age of 11. But I wasn't ready for it," she says. In the following year, McDonald's held a contest for kids in big cities. I had the opportunity to sing "Accept What God Allows" at It's Showtime at the Apollo. And the people were very enthusiastic. She sang with Stevie Wonder at his grandson's birthday in the year thirteen. Sullivan, at age 15 began her career with Jive Records. In the age group of 15 the label signed her to Jive Records. She made an entire album at Jive Records, however it was not released. Sullivan was eventually dropped from the label. She had a good working connection and Missy Elliott. Elliott produced some of her tracks, including "Backstabbers" and "Backstabbers," which was produced by Timbaland.
