Tessa Thompson
Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actor and songwriter who hails who hails from Los Angeles was born in 1983. She is the daughter Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She was born in Los Angeles and raised there prior to moving to Brooklyn. Her father has Afro-Panamanian origin, and her mother from Mexican and British Isles descent. Thompson was a student at Santa Monica High School, which was where she performed in numerous theatre productions. She enrolled in Santa Monica College after graduation and earned a cultural Anthropology degree. The role she played was Juliet the character in the play by William Shakespeare "Romeo and Juliet" at a Pasadena California production at the Boston Court Theatre. Her performance from made her a NAACP Theatre nomination the same year. Off the scene, in 2005 Tessa was the first TV appearance in the CBS program
