In 2013, Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna" Morello In the film Orange Is the New Black. Yael completed her studies at NIDA. Her early work experience has enabled her to meet and work with some of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is well-known as an actor across Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael's new life in New York City began when the production received a prestigious review by the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery encourages innovative creativity, writing and artistic endeavors from it's Bushwick studio.
