Washington Butler is a Puyallup native who was interested in arts and culture from an early age. She was a singer in choirs, entered singing competitions and performed in schools and in community theatre. She attended The University of Southern California and moved in Los Angeles where she played Belle the beauty and the beast princess at Disneyland for about one year and a half. After dropping out of school in the spring of 2008, she started looking for an agency to represent her talents and auditioning to work on television and film. Butler starred in Jennifer Hills as a novelist who is brutally sexually assaulted in a hotel room while traveling. The film produced by Steven R. Monroe was made available in the month of October. Butler began filming the thriller psychological The Stranger Within alongside Estella Warren and William Baldwin in Mallorca Spain in November 2011. The film was also scheduled to film on location in Copenhagen Denmark and New York City.She was part of the crew for the independent feature Treachery featuring Michael Biehn which began filming in Los Angeles in June 2012.
