Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most popular role is Bo, from the Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk both were scholars. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She is Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories include going to the play school and watching her mother work. Silk was a prominent character in numerous commercials while she was just a child. In 1997, she received a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she discovered at the time of her meeting in Los Angeles at an Actors training. They got married in December 2009 following a civil ceremony. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton, after the woman was converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was born in May of 2013, and her son was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron, her second son was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's work on television has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009, she got the lead role as Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television series Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the final season episode. She announced the pregnancy to fans of the series during the Showcase preview of the Season Three special on January 6 2013. Silk tweeted on June 20th that she's ready to go back to work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially announced the beginning of the production for the fourth season. The CNN Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo as well as Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top TV Couples. E! named them as the most popular Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk's popularity has resulted in an enormous online following using social media.
